Nicolas Borner was born in 1990 in Konstanz. At the age of six, he began his piano lessons with Mrs. Edeltraut Holek at the Music School Constance. As an eight-year-old Nicolas joined the youth cantor Münster ULF Konstanz, in which he was active throughout his youth as a boy soprano and later as a baritone.
In his youth, Nicolas discovered his second passion for popular music and worked on several productions in the field of rock pop and film music, including the rock band "Sanara" in Konstanz.
Nicolas soon discovered the organ and, at the age of 16, received his first organ lessons from Professor Markus Utz in the cathedral of Konstanz. After graduating from high school, he studied church music at the Zurich University of the Arts with Professors Markus Utz, Beat Schäfer, Andreas Jost and Tobias Willi. With his singing teacher Bernhard Hunziker Nicolas also discovered his talent for the alto singing. During this time he was already active in several communities in the Lake Constance region as a choral conductor and organist and had engagements as alto soloist. Nicolas graduated with the title "Master of Arts" in 2015.
This was followed by a postgraduate course in music management at the "Akademie Deutsche POP" in Berlin. After his return to Lake Constance, Nicolas worked as a piano teacher, choirmaster and organist in several communities in the region. Since February 2018 he is church musician of the Catholic parish of St.Stefan Kreuzlingen-Emmishofen.
Nicolas Borner wurde 1990 in Konstanz geboren. Im Alter von sechs Jahren begann sein erster Klavierunterricht bei Frau Edeltraut Holek an der Musikschule Konstanz. Als Achtjähriger trat Nicolas der Jugendkantorei Münster ULF Konstanz bei, in der er seine gesamte Jugend hindurch als Knabensopran und später als Bariton tätig war.
In seiner Jugend entdeckte Nicolas seine zweite Leidenschaft für die populäre Musik und war an etlichen Produktionen im Bereich Rock- Pop- und Filmmusik tätig, unter anderem mit der Rock Band „Sanara“ in Konstanz.
Schon bald entdeckte Nicolas die Orgel für sich und erhielt als 16jähriger seinen ersten Orgelunterricht bei Professor Markus Utz im Münster Konstanz. Nach seinem Abitur folgte schliesslich ein Kirchenmusikstudium an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste bei den Professoren Markus Utz, Beat Schäfer, Andreas Jost und Tobias Willi. Bei seinem Gesangsdozenten Bernhard Hunziker entdeckte Nicolas auch seine Begabung für den Altus-Gesang. In dieser Zeit war er auch schon in mehreren Gemeinden im Bodenseeraum als Choreiter und Organist tätig und hatte Engagements als Altus-Solist. Sein Studium schloss Nicolas mit dem Titel „Master of Arts“ im Jahr 2015 ab.
Darauf folgte ein Aufbaustudium im Fach Musikmanagement an der „Akademie Deutsche POP“ in Berlin. Nach seiner Rückkehr an den Bodensee war Nicolas zunächst als Klavierdozent, Chorleiter und Organist in mehreren Gemeinden der Region tätig. Seit Februar 2018 ist er Kirchenmusiker der katholischen Kirchgemeinde St.Stefan Kreuzlingen-Emmishofen.
